About Founders Tax Group
Founders Tax Group was built by operators for the people the tax system is hardest on: founders, business owners, and the self-employed. When a business has a rough year, taxes are the bill that gets deferred, and the IRS is the one creditor that can reach a paycheck or a bank account without suing first. We think the people in that spot deserve two things they rarely get from the tax relief industry: honest education about how the system actually works, and a straight answer about their own case.
Our model
- Education first. We publish a free library of guides, notice explainers, and a payoff calculator that explain the IRS collection system in plain English, sourced to IRS.gov and other primary sources. Most readers never become clients, and the library is built to be just as useful to them.
- Resolution work in-house. When you request a free consultation, a resolution specialist on our team reviews your case. We do not sell your inquiry to a call center or auction it to third-party firms.
Our principles
- Compliance first. No IRS program works while required returns are unfiled or this year’s taxes are going unpaid. We start every case by getting you compliant, because that is how the IRS itself evaluates you.
- Formula over fear. The IRS decides what you qualify for with a formula: income, allowable expenses, and asset equity. We run that math before recommending anything, and we will tell you when the right answer is a simple payment plan you could set up yourself.
- Everything in writing. Scope, fees, and the plan for your case go on paper before any work starts. No surprise phases, no fees for programs you cannot qualify for.
- We never sell your data. What you tell us is used to review your case and contact you about it, nothing else. See our privacy policy.
How we publish
Every figure in our content is checked against IRS.gov or another primary source, and content is written under a collective editorial byline rather than invented author personas. The full policy is in our editorial standards. Content on this site is educational; personalized advice comes from the specialist who reviews your case. Spot an error? Tell us and we will fix it.
